Market Research Intern
Marketing & BrandRemoteInternshipStudent or recent graduate · 3-month internship
A three-month remote internship: find out what is actually selling in Indian packaged food, and turn it into research our development decisions can rest on.
Apply for this roleAbout the role
Kaflur develops products for other food brands, which means we are asked constantly what a category looks like: what is already on the shelf, what it costs, what claims it makes, where the gap is. Right now those answers are assembled ad hoc. This internship exists to do them properly.
You will research packaged-food categories — dips, gravies, seasonings, marinades, health and children's nutrition — across retail and quick-commerce, and produce briefs that our development and commercial conversations actually use. Real research with a real reader, not a filing exercise.
This is a three-month internship and it is fully remote, so you can do it alongside your final year or between commitments. You will work directly with the founder, see how your findings change what gets built, and finish with a portfolio of category work you can show anyone.
Suitable for a final-year student or recent graduate in marketing, business, food technology, nutrition or economics. Tell us in your application when you could start.
What you'll do
- Map packaged-food categories: who is selling what, at what price, with what claims and pack formats
- Track what is moving on quick-commerce and modern retail, and what is being launched
- Summarise trends, regulations and consumer signals into short, readable category briefs
- Gather and organise pricing and competitor data so it can be compared rather than admired
- Support the team with research behind specific client briefs
- Present what you found, and say plainly what it does and does not tell us
What we're looking for
- Final-year student or recent graduate — marketing, business, food technology, nutrition, economics or similar
- Genuinely comfortable with spreadsheets and organising messy information
- Able to write clearly and briefly; the output here is a document someone acts on
- Curious about food, retail and why people buy what they buy
- Honest about the limits of your data — an uncertain finding stated as fact is worse than no finding
Applications close on 30 October 2026.
Our Values
- Quality without compromise
- Evidence over opinion
- Speed with intention
- Honesty at every level
